AkwaGIS is designed to benefit both the local land owners and the government and will drastically reduce theft, fraud and encroachment on landed properties..
AkwaGIS closes the digital gap in the process of documentation, information and management of land and property in Akwa Ibom state. AkwaGIS provides information needed to be able to validate the type of land, its location, sizes, the owner of the land, possible cost which helps in dealing with the issue of land theft and making sure that people buy land from the real owners. AkwaGIS also will help curtail the process of going through many agents and paying multiple fees during land processes
